Ich heiße Gudrun Ahlers, bin waschechte Dithmarscherin, die der Nordseeküste jedoch nach dem Abitur in Meldorf den Rücken gekehrt und 7 Jahre in England und weitere 2 1/2 Jahre in Bochum verbracht hat. Seit Anfang der 90er bin ich wieder zurück in Dithmarschen. Einen Fotoapparat trug ich durch mein Leben wie jeder andere auch. Erst Anfang des neuen Jahrtausends interessierte ich mich zunehmend für die Digitalfotografie.

My name is Gudrun Ahlers, born-and-bred in the North of Germany close to the North Sea. I left Germany after my A-Levels and went to England for 7 years. After that I returned to Germany and lived in Bochum for another 2 1/2 years before I returned and settled down in the North of Germany again in the beginning of the 1990s. I used to carry a camera with me just as much as any other person, however, the digital photography started to interest me more and more since the beginning of the new millenium.

Mittlerweile hab ich meine Leidenschaft für die Fotografie entdeckt. Auf meine erste DSLR Kamera, eine Canon EOS 600D, folgten Objektive, Aufsteckblitz, Stativ, Filter, Fototaschen, noch mehr Objektive, noch eine Kamera....ach ja, und natürlich diverse Fotoschulungen. Ich bin dabei...ich bleib dabei. Das Ergebnis seht ihr hier. - "Life is photography is life". 

Meanwhile I discovered my passion for photography. My first camera, a Canon EOS 600D, was soon followed by some more lenses, flashes, tripods, filters, bags, more lenses, a second camera...oh yes, and of  course a number of training courses.
